Net Price Grain Calculator – Moisture Correction 13% and Impurities

This application helps to immediately estimate the net price of grain based on the moisture reading and the percentage of impurities detected at delivery. It is designed for farmers, suppliers, cooperatives, and storage centers that want a clear and consistent calculation based on a standard of 13%.

How it works

By entering the base price (in €/t or €/q), the moisture of the sample (%), and the impurities (%), the app applies two correction steps:

  • Impurities: calculates the “clean” weight by subtracting the waste fraction.
  • Moisture: realigns the result to the standard base of 13%, with the option to activate the “penalties only” feature to avoid rewarding moisture below the standard.

It is also possible to specify the delivered weight (in tons or quintals) to obtain the paid weight and the total amount.

What it calculates

  • Impurity factor, moisture factor, and total correction factor.
  • Equivalent net price per delivered unit: €/t and €/q.
  • If the weight is entered: paid weight (t) and total amount (€).

Useful settings

  • Price unit: selection between €/t and €/q with automatic conversions.
  • Weight unit: selection between tons and quintals.
  • Moisture penalties only: avoids applying bonuses when moisture is ≤ 13%.

Interpreting the results

The equivalent net price represents the value per ton or quintal delivered after the combined effects of impurities and moisture. A total factor below 1 indicates deductions; values close to 1 indicate compliance with the standard.

The proposed calculation serves operational and informational purposes. Contractual rules may provide for thresholds, franchises, or additional penalties not considered by the model; always check the specific conditions of the sales or delivery contract.
