This application allows you to analyze and compare the productivity and economic profitability of the main tomato varieties, estimating revenues and net margins based on the cultivated area and production cost per hectare.

How it works

  1. Enter the total cultivated area (in hectares).
  2. Enter the average production cost per hectare (€).
  3. Click on “Compare yields and margins.”
  4. The app automatically calculates for each variety:
    • Average yield in tons per hectare.
    • Average market price (€ / kg).
    • Estimated gross revenue (€ / ha).
    • Estimated net margin (€ / ha).

They are indicative average values based on production technical data. They may vary depending on zone, soil, climate, and market.

Yes, simply add new entries in the $varieta array by modifying yield, price, and description.

3. Can I also calculate the total net margin for the entire farm?
Yes, the margin per hectare is already multiplied by the entered area, so you also get the overall estimate.

4. Can I use other products besides tomatoes?
Yes, you can easily adapt the data to vegetables, fruits, or other crops by modifying the yield and price parameters.

5. Does the app account for taxes or amortization?
No, the calculations are purely technical and do not include taxes, family labor, or amortization.
