With this app from UtileApp, you can compare the oil yield of different cultivars by entering the kg of olives for each row and choosing whether to use the typical yield (already filled) or a custom yield.
In just a few seconds, you will obtain, for each cultivar: estimated oil in kg and liters, liters per 100 kg, kg per liter, with the option to adjust the results based on humidity and ripeness 🌡️🍈.

⚙️ How it works

  1. Choose the cultivar (e.g. Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo, Coratina, Nocellara…)
  2. Enter the kg of olives for that row
  3. (Optional) Overwrite the yield % or leave it default
  4. (Optional) Enter humidity % and ripeness (early/turning/ripe) to apply adjustments
  5. Click “Compare yields” → see results and totals, sort by Oil (L) or Yield %

📈 What it calculates

  • Final yield % = typical yield ± adjustments (ripeness, humidity)
  • Oil (kg) and Oil (L) (with adjustable density, default 0.916 kg/L)
  • L/100 kg and kg/L (productivity indicators)
  • Totals for all rows: kg, oil (kg/L), total L/100 kg

🧠 Applied corrections (simplified)

  • Ripeness: green −1.5 pt, turning 0, ripe +1.0 pt
  • Humidity: >55% → up to −1.5 pt (linear up to 65%); <45%+0.5 pt
    (“pt” = percentage points)

ℹ️ Indicative values: calibrate yields with your historical mill data. Cultivars can show great variability depending on climate, soil, management, and planting.
